This picture was taken at Lake Tarleton, in New Hampshire, at an event recognizing the efforts of The Trust for Public Lands, The Upper Valley Land Trust and others. Through the efforts of those groups this beautiful landscape will remain free from development in perpetuity. $500,000 was raised, and that was good enough to earn a $3.5 million federal match. More is coming, and nearly all of the land around the lake is now fully protected. Special thanks go to Senator Judd Gregg for his support in this project.
