Mr. Hathorn's 5-6 class is deep into the study of "How Our Government Works." This includes research into the origins of our government's structure and how laws developed over 200 years ago can apply today. Check out this page to learn more about our government. Students are also gathering biographical and political information about our past and present Presidents which will be presented in a research paper. For information to help in this project, click here.

Students will be responsible for developing a polling instrument to gauge opinions within our school environment dealing with current events. Mr. Hathorn's door is a display of the newspaper articles his students have discussed in class and we are anxious to participate in their surveys of some of these timely topics.
