Mr. Mocarsky's Class
Mr. Mo's 1-2 class
has started the year off with a unit on Winnie the Pooh that resulted
in a wonderful bulletin board titled, "Looking for Woozles" with
artwork of favorite scenes and characters from everyone's favorite
bear stories. Mr. Mo's kids enjoyed his Read-A-Loud and celebrated
the story with a Pooh party. If you are also a Pooh fan, try the
Page at
Pooh
Corner.
Their next book to share will be "Mr. Popper's
Penguins."
In math, Mr. Mo's class is investigating Pattern and Measurement.
If last year is any indication, we should soon see cups, pints.
quarts, half gallons, gallons, and bathtubs(?) full of a mysterious
liquid perched on shelves in this classroom comparing measurement
units! For a good place to get answers to some of the tough math
problems you'll face this year, try
Ask Dr.
Math.
Another of the class' favorite activities is the time spent with
Mr. Hathorn's 5-6 class working on a variety of projects. So far,
both classes have played chess, soccer, and spent time reading
quietly with their "buddies."
