The oversized "family room" (25' X 25') gains it's warmth from the soft glow of pine walls and a cushion of rich wool Berber under foot, enhanced by ample storage in the custom-built entertainment center/bookcase of cherry with inlaid walnut.
The indoor pool is surrounded by Vermont red slate and
the entire room (including ceiling) is encased in California redwood. No chemicals are
necessary in this 17' X 11' ozonated pool, while the "Desert Aire" system
maintains a constant humidity level, eliminating condensation on glass.
The swim jet at the deep end
of the pool provides a perfect workout, while the adjacent mirrored exercise area offers
space for the "land lubbers". This large climate controlled room includes a
conversation seating area, built in entertainment center, mahogany wet bar and cedar sauna
with double French doors opening to the rear patio gardens.
The staircase from the exercise area leads to the Cupola redwood spa. This hexagonal room boasts a 6 person ozonated hot tub, wet bar and INCREDIBLE views. The roof windows provide star gazing and the spa cover tucks away, out of sight.
