SBW Access to Generic DLLs

This will provide complete access to the Windows API and 3rd party 32 bit DLL libraries.

Provide DLL to Access ISAM/BTRIEVE Files

This will provide access to ISAM and BTRIEVE files to any application written in VB5 or Delphi3.

Scheduled work time: 8 days

 

SBW GDI Printing with Full Font Control

This will provide the ability to print complex and "pretty" reports directly from SBW. User control of Font, Font Size, Bold and Italic attributes, as well as random positioning of text, support for proportional fonts and graphical image overlaying will be implemented.

ODBC Driver for ISAM Files

This will provide applications such as Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel with access to ISAM files. Data Dictionary support, data conversion from SBW/LBASIC data types and SQL support will be provided.

SBW Data Access through ODBC

This will provide SBW with access to non-ISAM and non-BTRIEVE data such as that contained in Microsoft Access databases and Microsoft SQL server.

Estimated work time: 15 days

 

Active Server Enhancements

The Active Server will be enhanced to support multiple information transport protocols. In addition, the Active Server will be enhanced to provide the Server end of a true Client/Server record data access model and SBW, the file access DLL, and the ISAM ODBC Driver will be enhanced to act as the Client ends.

Windows CE Support

The development of a Windows CE version of SBW will permit the development of applications that run on hand held PDA devices such as the HP 320LX and the Cassioopeia.
